OK, I seriously can't believe I'm posting this picture of myself. I mean come on. Two words: Arms. Workout. (Uh, is that technically three=work+out?I don't know...that's stretching my post-pregnancy brain a little to far...I think my brain cells relocated onto my hips because my brain is always telling me to eat a brownie or have another cup of milk rich coffee...anyway, I'm loosing it here...back to my original topic). Oh yeah, and that 80s style hair band? lets just say it looks bad but my hair without it looked worse.

SO ANYWAY. What do you think of my newest babywearing device? The Mai Tei (not like the drink--though hum, that sounds tasty...). I met this totally awesome and helpful woman at the park last week and she let me try on a bunch of her carriers (most of which she had made) to see what I liked. As soon as I tried the mai tei I know I had to make one for myself. It is SO COMFORTABLE. I got the dimensions from her and then just winged it (is that supposed to be "wung it"? Something about "winged" doesn't sound right. OK, I'm cracking myself up over here. Seriously.). ANYWAY, isn't it total cool looking? I made the base out of an old (well, it was a wedding gift, so not that old. Three years.... Three years?) top sheet (we only use the bottom sheet on our bed)(I've got to stop it with these parenthetical sentences) and some other fabric I had lying around. I had tons of fun making it, although the first time I put Laurel in it she spit up all over the front. Oh well. At least I can wash it. I can't wait to make another one but I think I'll make the body of it a little longer and the shoulder straps a little more padded.

Can you tell I just drank two cups of coffee?
